Policies and Procedures
I am required to let you know that I am a Certified Trauma Recovery Coach™ credentialed by The International Association of Trauma Recovery Coaching. As a Certified Trauma Recovery Coach™ I am bound to uphold the Association’s Code of Ethics. If at any time you feel I have failed to abide by the Association’s Code of Ethics or wronged you in another way you are welcome to contact Sarah Parish, TICC, CTRC-A who is the Chairperson of our Professional Standards Committee. She can send you a grievance form to complete and submit, as well as let you know the process that will take place after she receives your grievance. All reports and grievance actions are held confidential by the Professional Standards Committee.
Confidentiality:
Please be aware that anything we discuss, my notes or any information provided by you or your physician, mental health professional or legal representative (current or past) will be kept confidential. The only time confidentiality may be broken is if I feel you are in danger of harming yourself or another person, or if I receive a legal subpoena to release your records. As a Certified Trauma Recovery Coach™, I act as a Mandatory Reporter, as outlined by The International Association of Trauma Recovery Coaching. This means that if I become aware that a minor, disabled person or elderly person is currently being abused I am mandated to report the abuse to the appropriate governing agency. I also am advising that Zoom is currently not HIPPA compliant and, therefore I cannot guarantee, with 100% certainty, that information shared through Zoom will be safe from a data breach. However, I do keep all client records locked and secured.
Preparation
Many sessions will conclude with agreed-upon tasks to work on for the upcoming week. Please do your best to complete the tasks between sessions in order to maximize our time in each session. If you have questions on your recovery goal steps or other issues in completing tasks and need to contact me in between sessions, please feel free to do so via email at brian@mentalhealthfirstcoaching.com. All responses will be during regular business hours, Monday through Friday.
Payment/Cancellation Policy
The fee for a one-hour trauma recovery session, without a longer-term commitment, is $120. Discount packages of 6 sessions are available for $95 per session or 12 sessions for $75 per session. Payment plans can be broken down in increments if necessary. Fees are due at least 24 hours in advance of your session and are payable by PayPal. At least 24 hours advance notice is required for any cancellation or the full fee will be charged for the missed appointment. If you cancel after the 24-hour period, you may reschedule, but no refund will be made.
Substance Use
Alcohol or recreational drugs are not to be consumed before or during session. We cannot have a productive session under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs. If you are struggling with any substance abuse issues, please let me know so we can get help if necessary. Showing up for sessions impaired may result in having to end our coaching relationship.
Cell Phones and 3rd Parties
Please be sure to have your cell phone on silent during our sessions so we can focus 100% on your recovery. Please do not bring any outside party to a coaching session (spouse, parent, friend) without first discussing it with me. We need to discuss your confidentiality and goals before anyone else is brought into a coaching session.
